PLN’s: What are they?

PLN's are personal learning networks which allow educatiors to branch out within their communities by using social media and technology to communicate issues, create solutions and lesson plans, and collaborate with people succeeding in their fields. At times, we can become stuck in our ways, seeing the issues we are facing with a rigid mindset. PLN's make reaching out to others and gaining their thoughts and feedback much easier as social media is often a casual form of communication that is convinient for everyone.

I have created a twitter account which I will be using during the course of my 2025 winter semester here at Lakeland College to use as a personal learning network platform. I value connecting with others to share new ideas surrounding the classroom environment. PLN’s are a perfect way to further my creativity in engaging lesson plans and classroom management tactics. Listed below are some educators I have had the pleasure of learning from over the last few years and educators I have found have exceptional ideas.
